Brochure site, landing page, or store
These three names are sold as one product at three prices. They are three goals. The wrong choice produces an expensive site that does not do the action the business needs.
The action comes first
If the visitor should leave a phone number after one campaign, a landing page is enough. If they need to understand the business, see services, and get in touch, that is a brochure site. If they need to pick a product and pay, that is a store.
A store without organised stock, or a twenty-page brochure with no message, does not get better because pages were added.
Match the type to the goal
On the packages page these types are separate, because the scope is different. The brief is where the decision is made, not the menu.
| Goal | Type | What not to build |
|---|---|---|
| One enquiry from a campaign | Landing page | A full site with no single message |
| Explain the business and the service | Brochure site | A store with no products |
| Sell online | Store | A catalogue without payment, if selling is the goal |
| Two languages for two audiences | The same type, on two URLs | Mixed languages on one page |
| Ongoing edits after launch | Any type, with maintenance | A site with nobody responsible for changes |
